NeoTech Global Code of Ethics

NeoTech Global is dedicated to conducting its engineering pursuits according to the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and responsibility. To keep the company focused and accountable, we will uphold the Engineering Code of Ethics offered by the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). We believe this code effectively defines the characteristics and actions that engineers must exhibit and perform in order to ensure that society is impacted positively by their work. The code consists of six fundamental canons, each corresponding to a central motivation of NeoTech Global.

“Engineers shall hold paramount the safety, health, and welfare of the public.” Our global focus leads us to strongly identify with the first fundamental canon. Our primary goal is the betterment of world health for infants. In this spirit, we commit to keeping the safety, health, and welfare of the public at the forefront of the company’s vision. In practice, this means that every company action is deliberately and fundamentally directed towards the insurance of neonatal safety, the maintenance of neonatal health, and the welfare of infants and communities around the world.

“Engineers shall perform services only in the areas of their competence.” We hereby confirm that we are each fully aware of our abilities and limitations, and vow to undertake only those endeavors that we are confident in our capacity to perform. As a result of each individual on the team making this promise, NeoTech Global can confidently assert its competence in a global health context.

“Engineers shall issue public statements only in an objective and truthful manner,” “act for each employer or client as faithful agents or trustees,” and “avoid deceptive acts.” From the global health perspective, the importance of honesty and transparency is paramount. NeoTech Global incorporates observational visits to developing countries in order to define neonatal health problems that are of universal consequence. As we travel, we will encounter different cultures and communities. It is of utmost importance to develop an atmosphere of trust in the locations that we visit. Therefore, we agree to, at all times, hold ourselves to the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and objectivity.

“Engineers shall conduct themselves honorably, responsibly, ethically, and lawfully so as to enhance the honor, reputation, and usefulness of the profession.” The final fundamental canon of the NSPE code develops a vivid image of the ideal engineer. In our quest to provide infant care on a global level, we must maintain our moral direction.

The NSPE’s six fundamental canons constitute the moral framework of our team’s Code of Ethics. As individuals, we will each bring our own compassion and honor to this central code. As a team, we hereby commit to keeping one another accountable for each of the six fundamental canons described above. In this manner, we ensure that NeoTech Global operates honorably, safely, and ethically.
